Every Great Celebration Is Told One Detail at a Time.

The most memorable events aren't defined by a single beautiful centerpiece or an impressive venue.

They're remembered because every detail feels connected.

A menu that reflects the couple's favorite meal. A children's placemat that becomes part of the entertainment. A welcome sign that sets the tone before guests even walk through the door. A custom backdrop that transforms an ordinary room into an immersive experience.

These aren't simply printed pieces.

They're the moments guests interact with throughout the celebration.

At IYHTVDesigns, I create illustrated event experiences that transform functional stationery, signage and guest touchpoints into meaningful keepsakes that tell a cohesive story from beginning to end.

Whether it's an intimate birthday celebration at home, a destination wedding, a nonprofit gala or a large-scale corporate event, every illustration is designed with one purpose in mind:

To make the experience feel unforgettable.

More Than Day-Of Stationery

Day-of stationery is often viewed as a checklist.

Menus.
Programs.
Place cards.
Table numbers.
Welcome signs.

But when every piece is thoughtfully illustrated and designed as part of a larger visual story, those practical items become part of the experience itself.

Rather than simply directing guests where to go or telling them what's for dinner, they create moments of discovery, conversation and delight throughout the event.

It's the difference between decorating a celebration and designing one.

Thoughtfully Designed Guest Touchpoints

Every celebration is different, but some of the most meaningful moments happen when guests engage with the details around them.

Guests don't experience an event one piece at a time. They experience it as a series of moments. Every menu, sign, placemat, activity card, and illustration contributes to that story.

Illustrated Menus & Food Displays

Illustrated menus become part of the tablescape, celebrating signature cocktails, favorite family recipes, regional cuisine or meaningful traditions through custom artwork.

Perfect for weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, private dinners and hospitality events.

Signature Drink & Bar Signage

Custom cocktail signs, illustrated beverage menus and bar displays designed to complement the overall event aesthetic while giving guests another opportunity to engage with the story behind the celebration.

Children's Activity Experiences

Children deserve to feel just as included as the adults.

Custom illustrated placemats, coloring activities, scavenger hunts and interactive games keep young guests entertained while becoming part of the event's overall design rather than an afterthought.

Welcome & Directional Signage

The guest experience begins long before anyone sits down for dinner.

Illustrated welcome signs, seating displays, registration pieces and directional signage help guests feel welcomed while introducing the visual identity of the event from the very first moment.

Programs, Escort Displays & Event Details

Programs, table numbers, seating charts, escort cards and other day-of stationery become opportunities to reinforce the event's visual story through illustration, pattern and thoughtful typography.

Environmental Graphics & Installations

For larger events, illustration extends beyond paper.

Stage graphics, sponsor displays, activation stations, branded backdrops, floor graphics and environmental installations help create immersive experiences for conferences, nonprofit galas, hospitality events and brand activations.

Case Study

An Adventure Around the World... Without Leaving Home

One of my favorite projects began with a simple request:

Create a travel-themed second birthday party inspired by vintage aviation and the spirit of adventure.

Rather than designing a single invitation, the goal became creating an entire illustrated world.

A hand-drawn vintage airplane became the visual centerpiece, surrounded by antique maps, floating clouds and travel-inspired details that appeared throughout every aspect of the celebration.

Guests encountered the same illustrations on oversized backdrops, children's placemats, party hats, favor tags, cupcake toppers and signage, creating a cohesive story from the moment they arrived until they packed up their suitcase favors to head home.

The celebration took place in the client's home, proving that thoughtful illustration and cohesive storytelling can transform any space into an unforgettable experience.

Because memorable events aren't defined by extravagant budgets.

They're defined by meaningful details.

A Taco Bar Worth Remembering

When a couple decided to serve a taco bar at their wedding, they wanted it to feel like more than a buffet.

The menu became an illustrated keepsake featuring hand-painted food illustrations, custom artwork of their wedding cake, botanical accents and thoughtful details inspired by the celebration itself.

Rather than simply listing menu items, the piece became part of the décor, inviting guests to pause, explore and appreciate the story behind the meal before ever filling their plates.

Years later, it's still one of my favorite reminders that even the most practical pieces can become lasting keepsakes when they're designed with intention.

Every Celebration Tells a Story

The best events don't rely on one dramatic moment.

They create dozens of small ones.

A child discovering an illustrated activity placemat.

Guests smiling as they read the signature cocktail menu.

Friends stopping to admire an illustrated seating display.

Families taking home a menu or program they simply couldn't throw away.

Those are the details people remember.

Because the most meaningful celebrations aren't built around paper.

They're built around experiences.

And every illustration is another opportunity to make those experiences unforgettable.

What transforms an event isn’t the budget.
It’s the story guests experience from the moment they arrive.

Not every event needs extravagant florals or an elaborate venue.

Sometimes the most memorable celebrations happen around a dining room table.

Whether you're planning an intimate celebration at home, a destination wedding, a nonprofit gala or a large-scale corporate event, I'd love to help create an illustrated experience your guests will remember long after the celebration ends.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only design for luxury weddings?

Not at all. While I love creating bespoke wedding experiences, I also design for birthday parties, baby showers, nonprofit galas, conferences, hospitality events and corporate celebrations. Great storytelling isn't determined by the size of the budget.

Can you create just one piece, such as a menu or welcome sign?

Absolutely. Some clients need a single illustrated piece, while others are looking for a complete suite of coordinated event graphics. Every project is tailored to the event itself.

Can you match an existing event brand or invitation?

Yes. I can build upon an existing visual identity or create an entirely new illustrated direction that carries consistently across every guest touchpoint.

Do you work with event planners?

Frequently. I collaborate with planners, florists, venues, caterers and creative teams to ensure every illustrated element works seamlessly within the overall event design.
