Illustrated Itineraries, Maps & Travel Guides

Custom guest guides and destination maps designed to help guests experience every moment from arrival to farewell.

01. It Started With a Neighborhood

Not a wedding venue.

Not a color palette.

A neighborhood.

For this Brooklyn wedding, the goal wasn't simply to help guests find the ceremony. It was to help them experience the city like locals. Every recommendation, landmark, and illustration was carefully chosen to transform a weekend celebration into a memorable travel experience.

02. Researching Like a Local

Every illustrated map and itinerary begins long before I start illustrating.

I spend hours exploring the destination through satellite imagery, neighbourhood maps, local guides, restaurant reviews, walking routes, and photographs. I want to understand how guests will actually experience the weekend, from the moment they arrive until they head home.

For this Brooklyn celebration, that meant mapping the route between the Wythe Hotel, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, neighbourhood cafés, cocktail bars, waterfront viewpoints, and the city's most iconic landmarks. Every stop was carefully considered so the finished guide would feel intuitive, personal, and genuinely helpful.

03. Illustrating the Experience

Once the research is complete, I begin illustrating.

Every building, bridge, landmark, and destination is sketched before being carefully illustrated in my signature watercolor style. Rather than creating a traditional street map, I focus on the places guests will actually remember. The café where everyone gathers for brunch. The cocktail bar after the rehearsal dinner. The bridge they'll walk across together.

The goal isn't simply to show people where to go.

It's to help them feel connected to the destination before they even arrive.

The Finished Experience

What began as research notes, neighbourhood recommendations, and original illustrations became a beautifully cohesive guide for guests exploring Brooklyn.

Designed to accompany the entire wedding weekend, the itinerary and illustrated map helped visitors confidently navigate the celebration while discovering local cafés, restaurants, landmarks, and memorable places along the way. More than a schedule, it became part travel guide and part keepsake, allowing guests to experience the destination long before they arrived.

01. Every Destination Begins With Research

Beautiful itineraries don't begin with illustrations.

They begin with understanding the destination.

Before I ever start designing, I research the neighborhoods your guests will explore, the venues they'll visit, the restaurants they'll discover, and the small local details that make a place memorable. Whether it's a destination wedding, a bridal weekend, or a girls' getaway, every recommendation is intentionally placed so the finished guide feels authentic to the location rather than generic.

02. Turning Places Into Keepsakes

Once the itinerary is mapped out, I begin illustrating the places that tell the story of the weekend.

Historic landmarks, favorite restaurants, hotels, beaches, venues, parks, transportation routes, and meaningful local details are transformed into custom illustrations that become part travel guide and part keepsake. Illustrated maps, thoughtfully organized schedules, QR codes, and personalized recommendations help guests navigate the weekend while creating something they'll often save long after the celebration ends.

03. Designed for More Than Weddings

Although many of these guides are created for destination weddings, the same approach works beautifully for bachelorette weekends, bridal showers, family reunions, milestone celebrations, corporate retreats, and luxury group travel.

Every guide is completely customized to the destination, the occasion, and the experience you want to create for your guests.
